Is Workout Log really free?
Yes — 100% free, forever. There is no premium tier, no trial period, and no features locked behind a paywall. Every feature including body metrics tracking, workout routines, and data export is available to all users at no cost.
Why don't you ask for an email address?
Because we don't need it. Most apps collect your email so they can send you marketing, reset your password, or sell your data to third parties. We chose not to. The trade-off is that if you forget your password, we can't send a reset link — but we think that's a fair price for actual privacy.
Can I really use a fake name?
Your username can be literally anything — your initials, a nickname, a random word, or your actual name if you want. We don't verify identity in any way. You're just a username in our database. We couldn't connect your account to a real person even if we wanted to.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Workout Log is a web app that works in any modern mobile browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox. No app store download needed. Just open the URL on your phone and start logging.
Can I track sets, reps, and weight?
Absolutely. You can configure each exercise to track any combination of weight (kg), reps, and time (seconds or minutes). This means the app works equally well for strength training, cardio, HIIT, and bodyweight exercises.
Can I export my workout data?
Yes. You can export all your data (exercises, workouts, body metrics, routines) as a JSON file at any time from your profile page. You can also import data from a previous backup to restore or transfer between devices.
How do workout routines work?
You can create routine templates (like "Push Day" or "Leg Day") with your preferred exercises. When you start a workout, tap any routine to instantly load all its exercises — no need to add them one by one.
Is my data private?
We take privacy to the extreme. We don't know your email, your phone number, or your real name. Your account is just a username and a hashed password. We don't share, sell, or analyze any data. You can export everything and delete your account at any time — zero trace left because we never had your personal information to begin with.
How is this different from other workout apps?
Most workout apps offer a free tier with limitations — restricted routines, no data export, ads, or locked features requiring a paid subscription.
